Letter from Recruitment Chair

As a freshman only a few days into my new life at William and Mary, I was overwhelmed by the myriad activities and clubs I could join. Because I had so many preconceived notions about sorority life, I was unsure about going through recruitment.  I decided to give it a try - it seemed like a good way to find a close group of friends. That choice was the first step toward a decision that I can confidently say changed my life. Joining Delta Gamma was a pivotal moment, leading me down a path of personal growth, supported by sisters on all sides. In the midst of philanthropy events, formals, date parties, and sisterhood events, I found that my DG sisters had become the best friends I’ve ever had. These women have inspired me and because of them, I’ve grown so much as a person. Delta Gamma has been not only a source of wonderful memories, but a support system through tough times. Whether it’s walking into a class on the first day to see a DG sister and knowing you have an instant study buddy for that tough geology lab, forming relationships with DG alumnae who have so much wisdom to give and are incredible role models, or getting the opportunity to take a Little who becomes your best friend, Delta Gamma has so much to offer.

Each member of our sisterhood is a unique, wonderful woman, and a different part of DG stands out the most to each of us. I encourage you to register for Formal Recruitment and meet more of the amazing women who make up our chapter. We’d love to tell you more about our sisterhood!
