New Member Timeline

Being a new member of Delta Gamma is a whirlwind of exciting events and opportunities to fully integrate yourself into our family. Following recruitment, prepare yourself to be incredibly loved and the center of attention as we celebrate our growing sisterhood! 

There are a number of notable events to look forward to:

Bid Day

This is the most exciting day of the year! The entire chapter dresses up in crazy attire, covers themselves in face paint, and gets pumped to officially welcome their newest sisters. There's a celebration with cake, snacks, games, and love!

New Member Pursuit

The New Members gather weekly in the house in the weeks before Initiation. This is an opportunity for them to learn the history of the chapter and bond with the members of their class. They come to know more about Delta Gamma, what we stand for, and how they fit into it all. In other words, it's the greatest part of the week!

Clue Week

This is a highly anticipated week, mostly because it is so gosh darn fun. New Members are showered with love by their soon-to-be-revealed Big. A Little will go on fun adventures, participate in activities, and receive small gifts that hint at who her Big may be. This is a great way for New Members to become more fully integrated into the chapter- a Big comes with a small "family" within the chapter (including her own Big, and her Big's Big, ect.) that provides a support system and gateway for getting to know even more sisters. 

Revelation

This night includes a ceremony, during which the Littles officially discover her Bigs' identity. So. Many. Hugs.

Initiation

New Members officially become sisters and full members of Delta Gamma on this very special night. It is a very exciting and very touching night for everyone!
